Wayuu craftsmanship in all its dimension evokes the elements of the environment in which this indigenous culture lives, these elements are embodied as representative drawings of that reality. For sixty indigenous of the Wayuu Indigenous Reservation “Provincial” to the south of La Guajira in Colombia, Kanasü (which from the language of the Wayuu comes to be translated as a drawing), has become the possibility of showing and selling their handicrafts outside their communities. This is how the wayuu bags of these communities express through the richness of color a series of designs inspired by the exotic and mythical landscape of this aboriginal society.
